SX 5 Photovoltaic Module

This is the smallest module manufactured by BP Solar and operates DC loads that have moderate energy requirements. It consists of 36 polycrystalline cells connected in series that are capable of charging 12 volt batteries in varied climatic conditions. These panels generate a maximum power of 4.5 watts and are typically used in remote telemetry, security sensors, signals and instrumentation systems. These solar panels are manufactured according to ISO 9001 standards and comply with IEC 61215 requirements.

SX 5 solar panels of BP Solar carry a warranty for a minimum power output of 93% during the first 12 years and 85% for the next thirteen years. The panels also come with a warranty for two years on defective materials and workmanship.

175W Mono-crystalline Module with Junction Box

The advanced 175 watts module is made with monocrystalline cells provided with SiN anti-reflective coating. This module is specifically designed for applications that are required to be connected to the grid. Some of the applications for which these panels can be used include large-sized commercial roofs, photovoltaic power plants and residential systems.

It consists of 72 cells and comes with a back sheet made of white polyester. The larger and higher efficiency cells provide better power density. The panel generates a nominal voltage of 24 volts. Modules that generate 175 watts of power are also available with multicrystalline cells and anti-reflective coatings both on cells and glass.

The 175 watts modules are manufactured in factories that have ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. Further, these modules conform to European Community Directives 89/33/EEC, 73/23/EEC and 93/68/EEC. They are also certified to IEC 61215.

The power output warranty remains the same for these higher models as well, but they carry a limited warranty on workmanship and materials for a period of 5 years.

According to BP Solar website, the company is winding down its solar operations to focus on its core capabilities. However, the company says that it would continue to honor all valid warranty claims.
